Case study
Inside the workshop where AssetForge was actually trialled.
CDI Motorsport is a real, working automotive and motorsport workshop — hoists, forklifts, a press brake, tools and vehicles all moving through a normal working day. AssetForge was trialled and refined there over a long period before becoming a product anyone else could use.

The setup
What's actually tagged on the floor.
Not a curated demo — this is the real equipment list AssetForge tracks day to day at CDI Motorsport.

In their own words
How CDI Motorsport uses AssetForge.
CDI Motorsport uses AssetForge to manage workshop equipment, complete routine equipment checks, report faults and maintain a clear history against each asset. QR codes allow staff to access equipment records directly from their phones while in the workshop, making it easier to keep information updated as work happens.
AssetForge also gives CDI one place to view equipment status, previous checks, reported faults, maintenance records and supporting information, helping reduce the reliance on separate paperwork and scattered records.
AssetForge has made keeping track of our equipment much easier day to day.
Why it started
A workshop with the same problems every workshop has.
Before AssetForge, equipment history at CDI Motorsport lived the way it does at most workshops: partly in a diary, partly in someone's memory, partly not recorded at all. Hoists needed load checks. Tools moved between bays and didn't always come back. There was no single place to look up whether a piece of equipment had actually been checked recently.
AssetForge was built to fix that specific problem first — not as a theoretical feature list, but as something that had to survive being used on a real, busy floor.

In practice
How it's actually used, day to day.
The workflow that ended up on every industry page of this site is the one that survived daily use here first.
Hoists, the press brake and forklifts get scanned and checked before the day's work starts — not signed off from memory at the end of the week.
An issue found mid-job gets a photo and severity attached immediately, against the specific machine, rather than mentioned to whoever's nearby.
When someone's away or leaves, the equipment's check and fault history doesn't leave with them — it's attached to the asset.
This is a genuine, months-long real-world trial at one workshop — not a large-scale case study across many customers. We think that's still meaningful: it means every workflow on this site was shaped by actually having to work on a busy floor, not by a product meeting. As AssetForge picks up more customers, we'll add their stories here too, on the same honest terms.
